BEFORE YOU JOIN

Camera ready. Notes open.

A moment to prepare before you enter the call. Dot brings the camera preview and the links from your invite within reach.

Dot’s camera preview. Check framing, microphone level and lighting before joining.

Check the setup before the call.

Enable the optional camera preview in Dot’s meeting-reminder settings. Allow camera and microphone access when requested. Use the preview to inspect framing, microphone activity and lighting before opening the meeting.

The preview does not replace the conferencing app’s device settings. If Zoom or Teams uses a different camera or microphone, choose the correct device there too.

Keep the useful links close.

Dot detects supported document links in an event, including Google Docs, Notion, Figma and GitHub. Open the agenda or notes before joining instead of searching the invitation at the last moment.

Links must be present in the event, and you still need permission to access the document. Dot does not grant access or copy the document into your calendar.

Then join the meeting.

Use Join to open the event’s existing conference link. Your conferencing app takes over from there, including any sign-in, waiting room or host approval.

Read the meeting-join setup guide if Dot cannot find the link you expect.
