An illustrated workflow. No calendar or reminder is created.

Choose how much attention it needs.

Floating reminders give you the meeting details and join controls in a small window. Fullscreen reminders are opt-in when you want a stronger interruption. Set their lead times in Preferences and use Preview to check the result.

Pair either with a menu bar countdown if you like to see the next event before an alert appears.

One meeting, its own reminder.

Use the global timing for most meetings. For an exception, open the event’s Dot reminder controls and choose a custom lead time or turn the reminder off. For recurring meetings, choose whether the setting applies to one occurrence or the series.

Work hours, calendar exclusions and ignored title keywords help keep reminders relevant. These settings affect which events are eligible, so check them when troubleshooting a missing alert.

Join, or take a minute.

Dot recognizes existing links for Zoom, Google Meet, Teams and Webex. Click Join, or snooze for one, five or ten minutes—or until the meeting starts. You can add supported custom service domains in preferences.

Dot opens the conference link. The conferencing service still controls sign-in, waiting rooms and access. Creating an event in Dot does not create a conference room.

Try it in your actual setup.

Use the Preview button with your usual fullscreen app, displays and Focus settings. Your Mac needs to be awake and Dot running. For a critical appointment, keep a second reminder on another device.

Apple Calendar has its own notifications and snoozing. Dot’s value is another way to notice and act on the meeting; you can choose the combination that works for you.
